13 May Diego El Cigala
15th Anniversary of “Lágrimas Negras”
Diego El Cigala commemorates the fifteenth anniversary of the release of the album “Lágrimas Negras” with an international tour. It was recorded with Bebo Valdés (piano), Israel Porrina “Piraña” (cajón) and Javier Colina (double bass).
In 2003 The New York Times claimed that it was the best album of the year.
On this occasion the singer from Madrid will experience live the repertoire of the album that went around the world. The famous record, winner of a Grammy Award and which has sold more than a million copies, was an experiment inspired by a fusion of the essence of flamenco and classic Cuban songs (“Lágrimas negras”, “Veinte años” and “Se me olvidó que te olvidé”, among others).
